The Ottawa REDBLACKS made two roster announcements earlier today.
The club has released long time National tight end/fullback Marco Dubois and signed National offensive lineman Sean McEwen.
Dubois was one of the longest serving REDBLACKS, originally selected 13th Overall in 2018 CFL Draft out of Laval University, he has suited up for 120 games with the Ottawa REDBLACKS across 8 seasons (2018-2025). He was an effective special teamer, registering 33 special-teams tackles along side 22 receptions, 331 yards and one touchdown in his career.

“Marco was a true professional throughout his time here,” said Shawn Burke, Vice-President of Football Operations. “His dedication to this club, his leadership and the effort he brought every single day set the bar for everyone around him. We thank Marco for everything he brought to our organization on and off the field over the past seven seasons.”
McEwen looks to make his return to the football field after missing all of the 2025 season with a torn ACL suffered during training camp with the Saskatchewan Roughriders. He is an 8-year veteran who was originally selected by the Toronto Argonauts 3rd overall in 20215 is now on his 4th career team, previously with the Toronto Argonauts (2016-2019), Calgary Stampeders (2021-2024) and Saskatchewan Roughriders (2025)
The Calgary, Alberta native and former Calgary Dino has been one of the best interior lineman during his career earning All-CFL honours three times, (2017, 2021 & 2022), All-CFL West Team honours three teams (2021, 2022, 2023) and All-CFL East Team honours one time (2017).
“Sean is a competitor who will bring a veteran presence to our offensive line room,” said Head Coach and General Manager Ryan Dinwiddie. “He’s a champion who will contribute to what we’re building on our offensive line and help set the standard for some of the young players we have in the building.”
